Passport Configuration Training ("Designer Toolkit")

Course Objective
The Passport Designer Course provides resources with an understanding of the design and configuration capabilities of the Toolkit that do not require coding or programming expertise. It also provides an understanding of the mechanics involved in documenting and applying changes, as well as the best practices to be considered prior to releasing bundles to a Production system. This includes an understanding of the Designer menu within Passport and the overall capabilities of the Toolkit, including the creation of new objects, pages, fields, attributes, content layout, filters, commands, notifications, events, and more.

Course Details & Logistics

 

Prerequisites

  • Proficient user of the base out-of-the-box Passport Application
  • Completion of the Passport System Administration training ("Admin Toolkit")
  • System configuration and/or developer experience with 3 – 5+ years experience
  • Successful completion of the Passport System Administration course (“Admin Toolkit”)
  • A proficient level of knowledge on the designed user-facing Passport Application
  • A proficient understanding of object-oriented concepts
  • A proficient understanding of HTML
  • A conceptual understanding of scripting languages such as Groovy, Java, and SQL

Fees

  • This course is free of charge. No fees will be billed to clients for attending this course at Wolters Kluwer locations.
  • Clients may send up to two (2) people per calendar year.

Expenses

Clients are responsible for expenses incurred to attend this training.


Duration

  • Houston events: This course runs for 2.5 to 3.0 days.
  • Virtual events: Six (6) virtual 1/2 day sessions to complete the training over a 2-week period (Tuesday - Thursday each week).

Equipment & Logistics

  • For in-person training in our offices, Clients must bring their laptops. Wolters Kluwer will provide a second monitor, keyboard, mouse, and WIFI connection if attending in our offices.
  • Virtual training assumes Clients are using their work or home office equipment. We recommend having two (2) monitors to take this training.
  • Clients must be able to access Chrome.
  • For in-person training, Materials will be printed and provided.
  • For virtual training, materials will be shared ahead of training, providing plenty of time to download and print or display on your second monitor as the training progresses.
  • The maximum number of participants per event is 10. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis based on the registration received date and time.

Alternatives to obtain training for this course

  • Clients requiring this training course on dates not offered may inquire with their Account Manager for options.
  • Fees may apply to offer training outside the Wolters Kluwer published schedule (live, virtual, or client site training, etc.).
