Passport Advanced Reporting

Course Objective: The Passport Advanced Reporting course is designed to provide client report developers with an understanding of how to leverage the Passport reporting tool (Cognos) to edit standard reports and develop custom reports at a low, medium, and high complexity level. This course will cover the baseline reporting basics content and expand to include content such as editing reports, creating new reports, building new prompts and filters, new queries, joins and unions, complex filtering and conditioning, various examples of formulas and logic, and more.

- Prerequisites:
- This course is intended for Report Developers with 3 – 5 years of report development skillset.
- This course assumes proficient to expert-level experience with other key reporting tools such as Business Objects, Sequel, Crystal, and more.
- This course assumes those attending understand how to document report specifications from Business users and develop and release based on requirements.
- Proficient experience with understanding relational data models.
- Proficient knowledge of the design of the user-facing Passport application.
- Fees & Expenses:
- A one-time fee applies per student. Once you register, pricing detail will be provided, and your Account Manager will assist with any questions.
- Clients are responsible for expenses incurred to attend this training.
- Duration: This course runs for 2.5 to 3.0 days.
- Start/Stop Time
- Class begins at 9:00 AM CST and ends at 5:00 PM CST, each day.
- Classes typically run Tuesdays through Thursdays.
- Equipment & Logistics:
- Clients must bring their laptops to take this class. Must be able to access Chrome.
- Wolters Kluwer will provide a second monitor, keyboard, mouse, and WIFI connection.
- Materials will be provided ahead of the Houston onsite training event for download, referenced as soft copies during class.
- Wolters Kluwer will print and distribute the Activity Guide.
- Maximum number of participants per event is 8. First come, first served based on registration received and signed agreement.*
- Alternatives to obtain training for this course:
- Clients requiring this training course on dates not offered may inquire with their Account Manager for options.
- Fees will apply to offer training outside the Wolters Kluwer published schedule (live, virtual, or client site training, etc.).
- Clients requiring 3 or more to be trained on this course should inquire to have Wolters Kluwer provide the training at their location.
*Wolters Kluwer reserves the right to reschedule training events if the planned number of attendees is below our minimum thresholds. If an event requires rescheduling, we will communicate approximately two weeks before the scheduled training.
