Passport Reporting Basics

Course Objective: The Passport Reporting Basics course is geared towards non-report developers who are seeking training on the basic reporting functions of the Passport application and Cognos reporting tool to understand the available out-of-the-box onscreen reporting capability within Passport (such as list pages, views, and filters), the standard reports available in Cognos, as well as how to develop low complexity reports in Cognos using Query Studio and/or Report Editor. This course focuses on common non-developer report editing and creation skills such as adding fields or removing fields from existing reports, formatting reports, updating prompts, and some low-complexity filtering and totaling for reports. This course does not train medium or high-complexity report build or functions such as formulas, queries, joins, unions, etc.

- Prerequisites:
- This course is intended for non-report developers who are part of a Legal or Claims Operations team for a given Client.
- This course is intended for subject matter experts who may be asked to provide low-complexity reports for their legal or claims leaders.
- Preferred experience with providing report detail using other systems and/or tools such as Excel.
- Preferred experience understanding relational data models.
- Proficient knowledge of the design of the user-facing Passport application.
- Fees
- This course is free of charge. No fees will be billed to clients for attending this course at Wolters Kluwer locations.
- Clients may send up to two (2) people per calendar year.
- Expenses: Clients are responsible for expenses incurred to attend this training.
- Duration: This course runs for 1.5 to 2.0 days.
- Start/Stop Time: Class begins at 9:00 AM CST and ends at 5:00 PM CST, each day.
- Equipment & Logistics:
- Clients must bring their laptops to take this class. Must be able to access Chrome.
- Wolters Kluwer will provide a second monitor, keyboard, mouse, and WIFI connection.
- Materials will be provided ahead of the Houston onsite training event for download, referenced as soft copies during class.
- Wolters Kluwer will print and distribute the Activity Guide.
- Maximum number of participants per event is 10. First come, first served based on registration received date and time.*

- Clients requiring this training course on dates not offered may inquire with their Account Manager for options.
- Fees may apply to offer training outside the Wolters Kluwer published schedule (live, virtual, or client site training, etc.).
