The Passport Report Designer course is designed to provide resources with a full understanding of how to use the Passport Reporting tool, which includes coverage for the Cognos tool, Query Studio, Report Studio, Workspace, and Workspace Advanced (if applicable).

Section I: Provides an overview of the Cognos application, including navigation and the layout, a review of the features and functions available within the tool, scheduling, and exporting reports. Additionally, the course covers Cognos Query Studio function, which enables ad hoc report creation (on-screen drag and drop report create) and queries used to compare and analyze data that can be published and viewed by other users.

Section II: Provides content coverage for the Cognos Report Studio function, which is used to create sophisticated reports and charts with complex prompts and filters. Additionally, the course covers basic and advanced calculations and statistical functions, building prompted reports for other report consumers, heavy formatting, working with multiple queries in a single report, Boolean logic, and more. Where applicable, Workspace and Workspace Advanced will be included.

Section III: Includes coverage for developing simple and complex reports in Cognos (and against a data warehouse, if applicable) in workshop format. It also includes nuances and requirements that apply to the Passport Designer Toolkit and how it impacts report functions.
